Vantage point.

One consequential situation. One private working session. A clearer next move.

Vantage point is a bounded way to work through one live decision or situation with Bud Bhattacharyya, founder of re:compound.

You bring one real situation. We work it together for 90 minutes.

Within 48 hours, you receive a short synthesis note: the real question underneath the surface question, the issues that actually change the call, the tensions to keep alive, and the next move your judgment is being asked to make.

This is not a report. It is a sharper vantage point on something that already matters.

What it is

A private 90-minute working session focused on one consequential decision or situation you are carrying.

Before the session, you send a short written brief: what the situation is, what feels unresolved, what you have already considered, and what decision or next move is approaching.

During the session, we work the live matter together.

The work may include reframing the question, separating signal from noise, identifying what has shifted, testing the obvious answer, naming the real constraint, finding the missing distinction, or clarifying where your own judgment is the part that matters most.

After the session, Bud sends a short synthesis note within 48 hours.

The note is not a transcript and not a consulting report. It is the residue of the work: the clearer frame, the live tensions, the judgment points, and the next move.

What you bring

Bring one decision or situation that has not resolved. It might be:

It can be work-shaped. It can also be the thing underneath a work-shaped question. Bud works comfortably in both.

The only requirement is that the situation be real enough for your judgment to matter.

What happens in the session

We do not begin with a deck or a framework. We begin with the situation.

The aim is to get underneath the stated problem and find the actual one:

AI may be part of the work, but this is not an AI training session. The value is sharper judgment on the matter in front of you.

The method is designed to help preserve and clarify the live state of the situation so the session does not disappear into a good conversation that cannot be used later.

What you leave with

You leave with a clearer vantage point on your own situation.

A cleaner frame of what the decision actually is.

A stronger sense of which issues matter and which only look like they do.

A sharper view of where your judgment is needed.

A next move that is easier to make because the field is less tangled.

Within 48 hours, you also receive a short synthesis note capturing the useful residue of the session:

Not a report. A re-entry point. Something you can return to when the situation moves again.

The one condition

This is only worth doing if there is live, consequential work worthy of the attention.

Not a hypothetical AI use case. Not a general wish for thought partnership. Not curiosity detached from a real situation.

The work has to be real.

Your judgment has to matter.

The cost of staying stuck, missing the real issue, or seeing the next move too late has to be high enough to justify serious attention.

That is the condition.

Format

One 90-minute private working session. One short written brief from you beforehand. One synthesis note from Bud within 48 hours.

$2,500.

Flat fee.

A second seat is available for $500 additional.

The second seat is for the person who helps you carry the situation alongside you: a chief of staff, deputy, operating lead, or trusted colleague.

Optional, but often useful.

If the vantage point session leads to a longer advisory engagement, the fee is credited toward that engagement.

If this sounds like it might fit

Reach out for a brief exchange about the situation. No charge for the fit conversation.

No deck. No pitch theater. No chasing.

The only question is whether the session can move something that matters.

If it fits, we book the session. If it does not, we will both know quickly.

Who's behind re:compound

re:compound was built for the gap between AI adoption and actual performance change — the gap where most organizations have invested heavily in tools and training, but the work that depends on senior judgment hasn't changed at all.

Bud Bhattacharyya

Bud works on the methodology of human-AI collaboration for complex knowledge work — specifically the question of how senior judgment compounds rather than resets with every interaction.
