Privacy
Privacy, plainly.
What we collect, what it’s used for, and how to have it removed — in the same plain language as everything else on this site.
This website collects nothing on its own. It is a static site: no analytics, no tracking scripts, no forms, and no cookies of ours. The typefaces are served from this site, not from a fonts service, so reading these pages sends nothing to anyone but our host. That host, Netlify, keeps the short-lived server logs every host keeps — IP address and pages requested — for security and operations.
Booking a conversation shares five things: your name, work email, firm, whatever you write in the booking questions, and the time you chose. They’re used for one purpose — arranging and preparing for the conversation you booked. They live in our scheduling system (HubSpot) and Bud’s calendar; the scheduler is HubSpot’s, and it sets the cookies it needs to function. You won’t be added to a marketing list, and there’s no follow-up sequence.
Email works the way email works. Write to bud@recompound.ai and Bud has your address and message, and uses them to reply.
Client work is governed by your terms, not this page. If we work together, the engagement runs under your firm’s confidentiality agreements and inside your approved tools — as described throughout this site.
To ask what we hold about you — or have it corrected or removed — email elissa@recompound.ai.
Who we are
re:compound LLC, a Georgia limited liability company, is the data controller for this website. Privacy questions and requests go to Elissa Stewart, who runs operations: elissa@recompound.ai.
What we hold, and for how long
Booking details and email correspondence are kept for as long as they’re useful to the conversation and any engagement that follows, then deleted. Hosting logs are retained briefly by Netlify on its standard schedule. Ask, and we’ll tell you exactly what we hold about you.
Where it’s processed
We’re a US firm, and the systems above process data in the United States. Transfers from other jurisdictions rely on recognized safeguards: HubSpot is certified under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and its UK extension, and standard contractual clauses apply where a framework doesn’t.
If you’re in the EEA or UK
The GDPR applies to you here, and our lawful bases are simple: we process booking data because you asked us to — steps taken at your request before a contract — and correspondence under our legitimate interest in answering you. You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and portability; email elissa@recompound.ai and we’ll act on them. You can also complain to your supervisory authority, or to the ICO in the UK.
If you’re in India
The Digital Personal Data Protection Act applies to you here. You have the rights of access, correction, and erasure, and to grievance redressal — elissa@recompound.ai is the grievance contact, and we’ll respond promptly. If we don’t resolve it, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.
If you’re in the United States
We don’t sell personal information, share it for advertising, or profile you — there’s nothing here to opt out of. Residents of states with privacy laws can exercise access, correction, and deletion through the same address.
Children
This site is for professionals and isn’t directed to children. We don’t knowingly collect their data.
